David leads our commercial and property practice and specialises in Information Technology Law, Intellectual Property, Business and Commercial Law, Commercial Litigation, Conveyancing and Property Law. David also practices regularly in Wills & Estates.
David holds a Master of Laws (Applied Law) with a major in Commercial Litigation, a Diploma in Law, a Graduate Diploma of Legal Practice, a Bachelor of Arts with a major in Modern History, and a Bachelor of Information Technology with a major in Software Engineering.
David is admitted as a lawyer of the Supreme Court of NSW and the High Court of Australia and is a member of the Law Society of New South Wales, the Intellectual Property Society of Australia & New Zealand, the Law Council of Australia, the Internet of Things Alliance of Australia, the Australian Computer Society, and the Association for Computing Machinery.
David was born and raised in Sydney. He and his wife made a tree change and moved to the Central West after the arrival of their eldest child. David has a background in Information Technology and has worked as a software developer for one of Australia’s big four banks. During his career in software development, he took a keen interest in intellectual property and it was this interest that leads him to study law. David has also been a small business owner has had his own software development business before commencing his law studies. He has a keen interest in assisting small and medium-sized businesses with a wide range of legal issues and regularly acts for businesses in the building and construction, agricultural, transport, health and fitness, hospitality, and training and education industries.
