Jacqui Meades joined the firm in June 2015 where she practices in the areas of Family Law, including Children, Property, Divorce, De-Facto Relationships and legally assisted mediations.
Jacqui completed her law qualification through the Legal Practitioners Admission Board in 2009 and was admitted to the Supreme Court of New South Wales in 2012. Jacqui started her legal career in 2010 working with the Elizabeth Evatt Community Legal Centre in Katoomba and has continued working in regional NSW, practising in the Blue Mountains and all towns through to Bathurst. She appears in the Local Court, Federal Circuit Court and the Family Court.
Jacqui has extensive experience in Family Law and Domestic Violence and strives to resolve matters outside the court system providing timely and positive outcomes with a minimum of stress.
Jacqui enjoys interacting with her clients, she understands the stresses that clients often feel when facing legal matters and has an empathetic and professional approach.
Jacqui is currently completing a Master of Laws (Applied Law) with a double major in Family Law and Family Dispute Resolution Practice.
When not at work Jacqui plays cello in the Lithgow Orchestra and can often be found performing at local community events in the Blue Mountains through to Central West NSW. She also fancies herself as a bit of a ‘Master Chef’ and enjoys cooking for her family and friends. She currently holds the title of “Chilli Eating Champion” at Killen & Associates.
